QUARD 400 Sheet and Plates are martensitic abrasion-resistant steels with an average hardness of approximately 400 HBW (Brinell Hardness Number). Their composition typically includes carbon (≤ 0.16%), silicon (≤ 0.70%), manganese (≤ 1.60%), phosphorus (≤ 0.025%), sulfur (≤ 0.010%), chromium (≤ 0.50%), nickel (≤ 0.25%), molybdenum (≤ 0.25%), and boron (≤ 0.005%). This alloy composition provides high strength (yield strength around 1050 MPa, tensile strength about 1250 MPa), excellent toughness, and good ductility with around 10% elongation. QUARD 400 also exhibits excellent weldability and cold formability, making it versatile for various applications.
